
Prior to consulting, Liz spent much of her career at world-renowned organizations including Discovery Communications, Hallmark Channel and National Geographic and managed the press for Discovery’s global hits Shark Week, and Planet Earth, to name a few. In addition to her consulting work, Liz serves as an Adjunct Capstone Advisor at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. She has also worked with the Earthy Goods Foundation, a social enterprise that provided business advisory and design inputs to Indian artisans and also set up and headed the CSR function for MphasiS, a large Indian technology company.Īparna lives in the Washington, DC metro area with her family.Įlizabeth Hillman Stein is an award-winning communications executive with a proven track record at global companies where she developed innovative public-facing communications strategies that built brands, launched global talent, preserved the corporate identities of networks and programming franchises, She has worked with notable clients including SXSW, SXSW EDU, The Atlantic, National Journal, Government Executive Media Group, CuriosityStream, Insight TV, Reading Is Fundamental, Earth Day Network, and Global Environment Media. Previously Aparna was the Executive Director at Social Venture Partners (India), a global network of engaged philanthropists, where she led the Bangalore chapter and worked with the National Board to grow SVP’s presence pan-India. She is experienced in starting things from scratch, grant-making, strategic stakeholder management, program development, & capacity-building for social businesses and nonprofits. With two decades of experience in business responsibility, philanthropy, social enterprise, and nonprofit management, Aparna is passionate about meaningful growth and scale. She is the Executive Director at the Impact Catalyst Foundation responsible for programming, academic partnerships, and fundraising. Aparna leads the US operations of the Catalyst Group of institutions which work on strengthening community health systems, livelihood avenues, and social protections to achieve well-being and dignity for the most vulnerable in the Global South.
